Exports of basmati rice from India are expected to slow down after two years of increases.
There is uncertainty over the level of exports to Iran and probably a reduction in average export sales. Basmati rice exports are expected to be muted in 2020, after an all time high rice exports during 2019.
Aggressive buying of imports by Iran, enabled healthy growth in volumes besides satisfactory pricing.
