IN spite of a 56.7 per cent increase in cargo through Nigeria’s seaports, container and vehicle traffics have fallen in the last three months of 2017 and the first quarter of 2018.
Statistics from the Nigerian Ports Authority show that during the first three month of 2018, container traffic stood at 387,016 Twenty Equivalent Units (TEUs), representing a decrease of 7.1 per cent from 416,806 TEUs handled in the same ports in the first quarter of 2017.
