With the main summer festival of Midsummer Eve taking place on Friday 22 June, many workers will leave Stockholm and the other main cities for the countryside. Import and export traffic with Sweden has traditionally slowed down at this time of year, as some people use Midsummer to begin their long annual leave from work.  However, with economic uncertainty affecting many of Sweden’s trading partners, companies may decide that it is wiser to keep trading while they have the chance to do so.
