Thurrock Council has applied for government funding support for the development of the largest logistics park in London. The developer of the park has revealed financial concerns, and has decided to put development of the London Gateway logistics park on hold because of declining freight volumes. It is still unclear whether the government will go ahead with the funding scheme for accelerated development zones.
