Ukraine’s grain exports in the 2023/24 July-June season had reached 40.7 million metric tons as of April 29 compared with 41.4 million in the previous year.
That included 5.7 million tons exported so far in April, the data showed.
Exports this season include 15.6 million tons of wheat, 22.5 million tons of corn and 2.2 million tons of barley. Ukrainian grain exports could total 6-7 million tons in April despite Russian attacks on Ukrainian port infrastructure on the Black Sea.
Ukraine usually sends about 95% of its grain exports via its own Black Sea ports.
