More than half of businesses in Ireland are having an increase in exports this year compared with 2020. Only 11 per cent report a decreasein exports, according to a survey by Enterprise Ireland.

A five-day event called International Markets Week provides Irish exporters with the opportunity to virtually meet with international market advisers to help their global strategy, critical for an export-led recovery.

As well as increased exports this year, more than nine out of 10 companies said they expect sales to increase again in 2022. The main export growth markets identified by companies were North America, Europe and the UK.
