South Korea’s exports of cosmetics products increased by 16.1 percent in 2020, making it third in the world for exports after France and the US.
According to statistics released by the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety, China was the biggest importer of South Korean cosmetic products last year, followed by Hong Kong, the United States, Japan and Vietnam.
Thanks to increased exports, South Korea had a surplus of 7 trillion won in cosmetic products trade in 2020, an increase from 6.15 trillion won a year earlier.
