Exports of fresh salmon to the UK from Norway increased by 27 per cent last week, at the end of March, according to the Norwegian Seafood Council.
Exports to other European countries including Sweden and Finland ‘exceeded expectations’.
Norway has been highly adaptable in the ongoing situation, although the closure of the restaurant segment globally remains the biggest challenge.
Although there has been considerable uncertainty with regard to to future demand and logistics, there has been a gradual normalisation in Asian countries such as China and South Korea.
