Flower producers in Turkey exported 60 million roses to 50 countries before Valentine’s Day on 14 February. Exports went to the Netherlands, the U.K., Germany and Ukraine.
Export shipping of roses began 20 daya before the 14th, according to the Central Anatolian Ornamental Plants Exporters’ Association.

Rose production was lower than usual last year due to cold weather conditions. Turkey exported 6 million more roses this year than in 2019.

Turkey also exports other flowers, especially carnations, which make up nearly 90% of shares of the country’s total flower exports.
