Brazil exported 3.4 million 60-kg bags of coffee in October, a reduction of 13.1% year-on-year. Exports earned USD 441.1 million, a reduction of 14.7% from a year ago, the Brazilian Coffee Exporters Council reported this Monday.
In October 2018 however, exports had hit a record-high for the month.
From January 2019 to October 2019, 34 million bags were exported, up 22.8% from a year ago.
Despite last month’s decline, the export volume for theyear-to-date is the highest in the last five years
Exports in 2019 may hit an annual record-high.
