Liverpool’s development as a deep-water port will allow imports from anywhere in the world to be delivered to a market of over 35 million consumers without touching a road. The frequent feeder services on the Manchester Ship Canal will allow importers to transport freight entirely by water to within a short distance of Manchester. The Port also offers daily scheduled shipping services to Belfast and Dublin, enabling Ireland to benefit from the more efficient import service offered by the Port.
