Freight is moving again through the largest port complex in the USA, after mediators from Washington DC helped the strikers to reach an agreement one Tuesday night. Workers at Pier 400 in LA went on strike last week, in protest at outsourcing their jobs. It is the biggest and busiest cargo terminal in the Americas for containerised freight.
