Car exports from South Korea were at their highest ever of last month, up 64.1 percent from a year ago, and the Q1 exports totaled US$17.099 billion, up 44.1 percent.
The export volume was 262,341 cars, up 48 percent year on year. It was the highest level since December 2016. The biggest volume was in green car exports, which topped 70,000 cars for the first time in history.
The biggest motor company’s exports increased 31.6 percent to 99,139 and the next largest companys increased 49.1 percent to 105,748.
