US worktop manufacturers are competing with a surge of countertops and kitchen tiles made in India which are subsidized by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government and sold in the U.S. at well below the cost of production.
This is an obvious example of “dumping” — which is illegal under U.S. trade law. The government must enforce laws against these types of artificially and illegally underpriced imports.
