Rail Freight to and from Gothenburg, Sweden, increased by 10%in quarter 3 in comparison with 2011.  Rail traffic to and from Gothenburg currently replaces around 700 freight truck movements per day. Around 26 rail shuttles offer daily departures; the latest service began operating in September between Gothenburg and Stockholm-Aarsta.
