Representatives of the new London port on the Thames have been visiting Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Shanghai, Taipei and Seoul.  Officials are keen to attract shipping to the new port, with the message that freight arriving there will be closer to two-thirds of the UK market than at other ports.  The port is especially keen to welcome Chinese shippers and has opened a specific portal on its website to help this.
