Ports in Turkey are facing a major increase in workload as export sales continue to soar.

After the COVID-19 pandemic hurt trade in spring last year, Turkey’s exports surged 34% year-over-year to over $203 billion (TL 2.7 trillion) from January to November of this year, marking an all-time 11-month high for exports.

Imports climbed to 22.9% year-over-year to $243.3 billion, according to the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TIM) data.
