Shipments of the new iPhone have helped the air freight industry recover from sharply falling prices, even as other shippers reduce spending by switching to sea freight.  Smart phones of all kinds now make up a huge proportion of air freight cargo, and Apple’s demand is so high that is able to skew rates across a large proportion of the global market.
