Although one of the largest shipping lines is reducing capacity on the Asia Europe route, some experts feel that this is unlikely to shore up rates as expected. Other shipping lines are still bringing more capacity on stream, even though volumes of cargo continue to fall.  European import of containerised freight from Asia fell 10.8% year on year in August.
