Rotterdam, Europe’s largest freight port by cargo throughput and container volumes, has been advising its customers how to improve their profitability. ¬†Although the port has been helpful in granting discounts, the CEO says that shipping lines should also reduce freight capacity so that rates go up. ¬†He is also suggesting that they improve the logistics process to give them better margins.
