Rotterdam, Europe’s largest freight port by cargo throughput and container volumes, has been advising its customers how to improve their profitability.  Although the port has been helpful in granting discounts, the CEO says that shipping lines should also reduce freight capacity so that rates go up.  He is also suggesting that they improve the logistics process to give them better margins.
