A freight train carrying 35 containers of mushroom products left Nanyang in central China’s Henan Province on the first week of January, heading for Russia.

The freight train will arrive at the port city of Qingdao, in east China’s Shandong Province in 48 hours. They started their sea freight journey to St. Petersburg, Russia, which was planned to arrive by the end of the month. The mushrooms final le to Moscow will be by freight train.

The sea freight section is to avoid the overland route from China to Russia in winter due to a temperature of minus 40 degrees Celcius in Russia. The land freight route rail will be used from March, which will make the journey shorter.
