 
	
The Association of American Wine Economists has ranked Georgia in 17th position in the world in their list of wine exporting countries.
IN 2018, wine companies in Georgia exported 86.2 million bottles of wine totaling $196.6 million in value.
284 wine companies, (34 more than in 2017) exported bottles to 53 countries around the world.
France, a well-known wine export nation, topped the list, exporting wine with a value totaling $11,055.9 million. Italy, Spain, Australia, Chile, the USA, Germany, New Zealand, Portugal and the UK were all in the top ten.
Wine exports from Georgia have been increasing – in August, Forbes Magazine reported that wine exports from Georgia to the United States grew by 88% in the first half of 2019.
