Knitwear exports from India during April 2019 are on the increase which is a very encouraging sign, said the chairman of India International Knit Fair.

India now has an advantage because the United States (US) imposed import tariffs on some products made in China, and many buyers and manufacturers are now approaching India for textile products.

India’s exporters have been awaiting a Free Trade Agreement (FTA) with the European Union (EU). If this happens, exports to countries in Europe could be doubled in another three years. Similar agreements with Canada and Australia would boost exports.
