Hauliers who currently carry export or import cargo to and from Europe may need to plan for alternative routes to move goods, according to the Government’s Technical Notices published in August.

They may need to use different modes of transport (such as container transport or  ‘unaccompanied trailers’).

Hauliers and freight businesses will need to ensure their logistics and transport arrangements ensure the correct documentation and permissions are carried. Businesses should also ensure they have the correct customs documentation.
