The USA government will provide $12 billion in emergency relief to American farmers affected by the reduction in exports and imports due to the trade war with other countries.

Import tariffs are being introduced by the USA on any product which is thought to be exported at unfair or less than cost price.
Other countries have responded to the import tariffs on steel, aluminum, and Chinese products by imposing their own taxes. American farmers bear a large part of the burden, as soybeans, pork, sugar, orange juice, cherries and many other export products now face tariffs in foreign markets.
