A report publishing the results of the investigation into the freight train which crashed in Norway on 24 March, killing three people, blames lack of safety precautions.  The report says that cargo terminal workers failed to secure the carriages’ track brakes and railway officials did not put in place acceptable strategies for stopping runaway freight trains.  The runaway train ran downhill for three miles before crashing into a port building in Oslo and causing the fatalities.
