With container shipping companies reporting improved volumes over last year, a freight industry analyst warned that carriers should not be over-optimistic.  Consistent volume improvements need to be evident for the peak season this year, before the industry can be considered to have recovered.  China recorded a decline in new export orders for February, compared with January this year, but this did improve in March.
