A new rail freight service was launched last month for automotive parts being exported from France to Russia.  The service is intended to replace 36 freight trucks per day and will also reduce delivery times to make the logistics operations more streamlined.  Freight trains run from Vesoul in Eastern France to Kaluga in Western Russia, which is developing as a car-manufacturing centre.
