The ports of Finland remain closed after 12 days of strikes in the export reliant country.  Negotiations between unions and management came to a halt last week, bringing freight to and from the country to a standstill.  80% of imports and exports to and from Finland go through the ports and the strike has had a drastic effect on the economy, which was already suffering from the recession. It is estimated that Finland is losing approx 150 million dollars in lost exports every day.  Negotiations resume on Tuesday.
