Industry commentators are saying that the aquisition of Cadbury by Kraft indicates that there will be a new, more global market for international logistics for Fast Moving Consumer Goods.  Kraft is hoping to benefit from Cadbury’s existing international markets, and is also expecting to make cost savings.  Part of the savings will be produced by consolidating logistics operations between the two companies.  It is the larger international logistics companies with worldwide coverage who are likely to benefit from this.
