Figures from both the Hong Kong airport freight handling company, and from BAA show the first year on year increase in volumes since more than a year ago.  In Hong Kong, air freight imports increase by 15% in October, and BAA also reports an increase for that month.  This may be because retailers are re-stocking for Christmas sales; in the past airfreight figures have given a good indication of the recovery of the economy as a whole.
