The British International Freight Association has revised its STCs slightly to take account of a change in legislation.  In 2005, selling of insurance by freight forwarders was regulated by the FSA, and BIFA has been arguing for an exemption from the legislation since then.  Earlier in 2009 their argument was successful, and freight forwarders may again sell goods in transit insurance without regulation from the FSA.  The new edition of the STC’s – Edistion 2005A – are available on our website.
