There is a new dock exit system for freight vehicles at Dover, which should dramatically reduce waiting times for vehicles joining the A2 and the A20.  The Dover harbour board is hoping that the faster exit times will save its road freight customers around £12 000 per day, based on 3 500 trucks leaving the port daily.  Each truck should save about five minutes, enabling cargo to be on its way and delivered to the final destination much more quickly.
