Once again both freight and passenger traffic to France has been delayed by the industrial action of French workers.  In April, French fishermen blockaded ports at Boulogne, Calais and Dunkirk in protest about EU fishing quotas. The delay caused to shipping meant that police had to use the M20 as a car park for freight lorries which could not get on to their usual ferry sailings.
