Another section of the Channel Tunnel has re-opened to allow more trains to run through it.  This includes 90 truck shuttles, for carrying freight.  Meanwhile there has been criticism of ‘Operation Stack’ which organises the parking of waiting lorries on the motorway.  The Freight Transport Association says that the system does not work, because it puts the motorway out of action.  Kent County Council is preparing a planning application for a 2,500 lorry park to overcome this problem.
