The long-awaited re-configuration of Felixstowe South will begin soon. The initial phase, which is due to be complete by April 2010, will provide an additional 730 M of deep-water quay.
This will be served by seven superpost panamax cranes. The contract has been awarded to a major construction company, and the Landguard terminal will remain operational during the
construction period.
