Motoring journalist Quentin Wilson will be presenting letters to the Government today, asking them to reconsider the planned fuel duty rise on 1 April this year. The Freight Transport Association has reminded members that they should work with Westminster, rather than getting involved in direct action. The Fair Fuel Campaign has the backing of the Freight Transport Association and the Road Haulage Association. Theo de Pencier of the FTA said that blockades might be attention-grabbing, but in the end they can be counter-productive.
