The British International Freight Association, the trade association for UK freight forwarders and other cargo interests, says that the Government should not over-react after the recent incident at East Midlands airport and overseas. Well established procedures already exist to validate the security of air cargo, and air freight goods are treated just as seriously as passengers when it comes to security checks.
