The British International Freight Association, the trade association for UK freight forwarders and other cargo interests, says that the Government should not over-react after the recent incident at East Midlands airport and overseas.  Well established procedures already exist to validate the security of air cargo, and air freight goods are treated just as seriously as passengers when it comes to security checks.  The explosives were discovered after an intelligence tip off, which shows that the use of good intelligence and policing are avery important.
