Norwegian salmon exports continued their upward trajectory in week 24 of 2026, recording gains on both a week-on-week and year-on-year basis, supported by robust buying activity across European markets.

Norway exported 22,665 tonnes of fresh salmon during the week, reflecting sustained international demand and the resilience of the country’s seafood export sector. European buyers remained the primary driver behind the increased volumes, reinforcing the region’s position as a key destination for Norwegian salmon.

The consistent growth highlights the strength of established trade lanes between Norway and its European partners, as well as the importance of reliable, temperature-controlled logistics in maintaining product quality throughout the supply chain.

As Norwegian salmon exports continue to perform strongly, the latest figures underline the ongoing opportunities for freight forwarders and exporters operating within the European seafood trade.
