The Ukrainian steel sector has reported significant export growth in long products, with volumes increasing by 45.3% year-on-year during the January-September period. This remarkable performance underscores the resilience of Ukraine’s manufacturing capabilities despite ongoing challenges.
During this nine-month period, Ukrainian manufacturers successfully exported 279,510 tonnes of hot-rolled bars and rods manufactured from carbon steel in coils (classified under HS code 7213). This substantial volume demonstrates the continued international demand for Ukrainian steel products.
The growth in long products exports reflects Ukraine’s determination to maintain its position as a significant player in the international steel market, whilst highlighting the critical role of freight forwarding services in facilitating this trade.
