A tragic incident occurred at Hong Kong International Airport when a cargo aircraft departed the runway during landing operations, subsequently colliding with an airport security vehicle. The accident resulted in the deaths of two airport workers who were occupants of the vehicle at the time of impact.
The cargo plane, which veered off the designated runway, came to rest partially submerged in nearby waters. Emergency response teams were immediately dispatched to the scene, though sadly they were unable to save the two personnel involved in the collision.
