Irish exports to the United States have surged to €75 billion, according to the latest trade figures set to be presented to Cabinet by Tánaiste and Minister for Trade Simon Harris on Wednesday.

The significant increase in export volumes comes as Irish businesses accelerate shipments ahead of potential trade tariffs. This pre-emptive surge reflects growing concerns amongst exporters about future trade conditions between Ireland and the US.

Minister Harris is expected to brief Cabinet colleagues on the export performance whilst cautioning that Irish exporters continue to face uncertainty in the evolving international trade landscape.

The figures underscore the critical importance of the US market for Irish businesses and highlight the proactive measures being taken by exporters to safeguard their commercial interests.
