According to a recent study by the Centre for Inclusive Trade Policy (CITP), UK food exports to the European Union have suffered a £3 billion loss as a direct result of Brexit. Exports for slaughter have been particularly affected.

An environmental law professor, has called upon Labour leader Keir Starmer to take action and negotiate a deal with Brussels to improve exports to the EU. The detriment to the UK’s food exports underscores the urgent need for a resolution to ensure the long-term viability of the industry.
