The ports of Wilhelmshaven on the North Sea Coast of Germany and Ningbo in China have signed a groundbreaking agreement to establish a direct shipping service between the two cities. The inaugural trial call will be made by a container freight ship which will initially transport 2,400 TEU (twenty-foot equivalent units).

This new direct link is expected to significantly enhance trade relations between Germany and China, providing a more efficient and cost-effective means of transporting goods between the two nations.
