New Zealand exports of milk powder, butter, and cheese fell 10 percent to 1.5 billion NZ dollars (900 million U.S. dollars) in June, compared with the same month last year. This was the biggest fall of goods exports, the statistics department Stats NZ said.

New Zealand goods exports fell by 0.1 percent in June 2024 to 6.2 billion NZ dollars (3.73 billion U.S. dollars), compared with June 2023, while goods imports fell by 13 percent to 5.5 billion NZ dollars (3.31 billion U.S. dollars).
Other dairy-based export products, including infant formula and casein and caseinates, rose in this period, it said.
