Indian grape exports have proved to be a success in the European markets. The product is fetching premium rates, especially in the Netherlands, Lithuania and the United Kingdom.
The chairman and managing director of the largest grape exporters in India, said the present rates are 20 per cent higher than the previous season. “The quality and size of the fruit has improved and exporters have been able to command good prices from the European export markets over all,” he said.
This year, Indian grapes have found favour in impoprting countries thanks to the higher sugar content and good quality of the fruit.
