Mandarin/tangerine production in Chile for 2022/23 is estimated to increase by 27 percent to 215,000 tons, driven by new orchards reaching production and good amounts of precipitation leading to higher yields. In line with the increase in production, exports are expected to increase by 25 percent totaling 180,000 tons. In Chile, the marketing year starts in April with the beginning of the harvest season.
The top export market is the United States accounting for over 95 percent of exports.
