The Australian trade minister began a three-day visit to China on Thursday, pledging “to progress the resolution of outstanding trade impediments” before a meeting with his Chinese counterpart on Friday.
The two countries fell into a series of bitter disputes three years ago.
He said:
“During my visit, I will be advocating strongly for the full resumption of unimpeded Australian exports to China – for all sectors – to the benefit of both countries and in the interests of Australian exporters and producers,” .
