Taiwan’s exports in January fell for the fifth month in a row because of fears of a global recession, uncertainties due to the Ukraine war and the COVID situation in China affecting tech demand.

Taiwan is a global hub for chip production andis one of Asia’s leading exporters of technology goods.
Exports were estimated to have dropped 20% in January from a year earlier.
