Exports of cherries from Uzbekistan to China in 2022 have fallen to a record low in recent years.
This is despite constant reports about good prospects for cherry exports from Uzbekistan to China and the fact that China is the largest customer in the world for cherry imports, and Uzbekistan is one of the few countries in the world having permission to export cherries to China.
China officially imported only 3 tonnes of cherries from Uzbekistan in 2022, which is only 0.01% of the total volume of cherry exports from Uzbekistan in 2022.
This is 4.5 times less than 2021 exports.
